Psili Ammos Bay (Serifos)
37° 9.7′ N · 24° 31.4′ E
Fine white sand under tamarisks on the east coast, split by a small headland. The beach is one of the most popular on the island; e-serifos says it was named the best beach in Europe in 2003.
Practical
SailingIssues: aim for the southern beach, which has less weed and better sand holding, and beware the reef extending from the south cape. Open to NNE–ESE, so any northerly brings uncomfortable swell. Treat it as a calm-weather or westerly-wind stop. Ashore: Stefanakos taverna (SailingIssues) and Manolis taverna (OpenStreetMap). The neighbouring Agios Ioannis beach is just north.
Best for
Calm-day swim and taverna lunch
Season
Calm weather or westerlies only
