Prassa Anchorage (Kimolos)
36° 49.4′ N · 24° 36.0′ E
The anchorage west of Prasonisi islet off Prassa beach, with sand bottom and good meltemi shelter in clear turquoise water.
Practical
Sailing Issues: the shoal joining the islet to Kimolos has a minimum depth of 1 m, so do not try to cut inside Prasonisi; anchor west of the islet in front of the taverna, or under Cape Georgios; sand with solid holding; open NE to SW but good in the meltemi. The quarry pier has unknown, shallow depths. It is more than an hour's walk to Chorio. Wrecks are charted off the coast to the south (OpenSeaMap), so keep a lookout. Pin from the Sailing Issues map.
