Paros Charter Base (Parikia)
37° 5.3′ N · 25° 9.1′ E
The charter office cluster on Parikia's yacht quay, where most Paros bareboat and skippered charters start and finish. Paros is the closest bareboat base to Santorini, Folegandros, Amorgos and Milos (Sailingissues).
Practical
Dream Yacht Charter's base sits at the GPS position used here (base guide, 2021). Office hours 9am-5pm. Embarkation at 5pm with a 30-minute chart and technical briefing; disembarkation at 9am. Return to the base at least two hours before sunset the evening before, when a diver checks the hull and the diesel is refilled. First and last nights at the marina are free for DYC charters. A sailing licence is required, or hire a skipper. Afros Yacht Service runs a four-yacht bareboat fleet from Paroikia Marina (NauSYS). Sailingissues notes that most one-way charters toward Athens are deliveries because of the prevailing northerlies; Lavrio to Paros is its recommended one-way.
