The bay below the ancient capital of Andros on the west coast, where the breakwater of the old harbour still lies underwater.
Practical
Protected from the meltemi but open to the south (aegeanislands.gr; SailingIssues). In calm weather take a line to the modern mole. Watch for the sunken ancient jetty and underwater foundations on the approach. The pebble beach is unorganised and reached on foot from the village (Municipality of Andros). Pin is the SailingIssues anchorage marker.
