Megas Lakkos (Syros)
37° 29.6′ N · 24° 54.0′ E
A narrow fjord-like inlet on the north-west coast. Sailingissues calls it 'splendid': clear water over sand with steep hills around.
Practical
Grecosailor reviewers (this position): the entrance is only about 40 m wide; sand runs into the bay among seagrass, and a boat swung safely in 12 kn of north wind. A shore line is an option to limit swinging. No facilities. Gusty in a strong meltemi.
Best for
Scenic overnight in settled weather
Season
Calm to moderate N winds
