KTEL Attikis Bus Terminal (Lavrio) — Airport & Athens Buses

37° 42.9′ N · 24° 3.4′ E

The Lavrio terminus of the green KTEL Attikis regional buses, beside the main square, a few steps from the town yacht quay and ferry piers. It is the cheap way to reach Athens airport or central Athens.

Practical

Routes: Wikipedia says KTEL Express buses link Athens airport with Lavrio (as well as Rafina, Markopoulo, Kalyvia Thorikou and Keratea); several third-party guides describe the airport–Lavrio service as indirect via Markopoulo, about hourly and about 1 hour. Fares quoted by Aktoploika and Ferryhopper: about €5 from the airport and €8–10 from central Athens (Pedion Areos, or Nomismatokopio metro station in Chalandri, every 30–60 minutes, about 1.5–2 hours). These prices are undated, so verify locally. KTEL Attikis: +30 210 880 8080 (Aktoploika); Ferryhopper gives the Lavrio terminal phone as +30 22990 40738. The official site (ktelattikis.gr) publishes timetables but its pages load dynamically; check them before relying on a late bus. Olympic Marine is about 2.5 km south of the terminal, so add a taxi for that leg. Position is the OSM bus-stop node 'ΑΦΕΤΗΡΙΑ ΛΑΥΡΙΟΥ / KTEL'.
