Kolymbithres Beach (Paros)

37° 7.8′ N · 25° 12.9′ E

Wind-and-sea-sculpted granite boulders split the western shore of Naoussa Bay into a string of tiny sandy coves, some big enough for only two or three people. It is one of the most famous beaches on Paros.

Practical

Greeka: the main cove is organised with sunbeds, umbrellas and a water-ski and wakeboard school, and beach bars and tavernas line the road. Caiques and a water taxi run regularly from Naoussa port. The anchorage off the beach is open to the NE but sheltered from most other winds, with good tavernas to the north (Sailingissues); see Kolymbithres Anchorage. The Mycenaean acropolis of Koukounaries crowns the hill behind. Position from the OpenStreetMap beach outline.
