Klisidi Anchorage (Anafi)

36° 20.6′ N · 25° 46.6′ E

A sand-bottomed bay just east of the ferry harbour, off Anafi's favourite beach. It is the calm-weather alternative to the cluttered port, with tavernas and a minimarket a short dinghy ride away.

Practical

Grecosailor position (36°20'38.0"N 25°46'38.6"E): sand, about 5.5 m, crystal-clear water, a quick tender ride to two sandy beaches. Shelter from the N-NW meltemi, open to the S and SE: leave for Vlychada (Santorini) or the harbour if a southerly is forecast (aegeanislands.gr warns SE winds raise a dangerous surge on this coast). Ashore: rooms, tavernas (Margarita, The Mule & The Pig) and minimarkets behind the beach, about a 20-minute walk from the port (travel.gr). Snorkelling with mask and fins is good along the rocks toward the harbour (travelphoto.gr). Nudism and free camping are prohibited by signs on the beach (travel.gr). No moorings, no fees found.

Best for

Meltemi-season overnight anchorage next to the harbour

Season
