Mylopotas Bay is the island's water-sports and diving base. The dive centres here run try-dives for beginners, certification courses and boat dives to the island's reefs and caves for certified divers.

Visit Ios says boat dives are for certified divers, and that day cruises sometimes meet dolphins and sea turtles. No published dive-site list or depths were found; ask the centres for current sites. Wear a dive flag and keep clear of water-ski lanes in the bay.
