Glyfo Beach (Sifnos)

36° 56.7′ N · 24° 45.0′ E · approximate

A small beach on the west side of Faros, named for an ancient brackish well. The paved coastal path to Apokofto and Chrysopigi starts here, past remains of old mines and ore-loading works.

Practical

Municipality: Glyfo lies 'to the right of Faros beach'. The paved footpath (lit at night) leads to Apokofto and Chrysopigi, and steps lead up to the ancient mines and old ore-loading facilities. Coordinate approximate: taken from the OpenStreetMap beach node 'Vlycho' just west of Faros, which matches the municipal description of Glyfo's position.
