Batsi Harbour (Andros)

37° 51.4′ N · 24° 47.1′ E

Andros's prettiest harbour: a tavern-lined crescent of beach and quay at Batsi on the west coast, with no ferries and the extended mole taking 10-12 yachts.

Practical

Berthing: stern-to or alongside the extended mole (room for about 10-12 yachts, Noonsite); MySea gives 2-6.5 m. Alongside the west mole is the best spot in a north wind, but in a strong SW wind waves come over the mole onto boats (Noonsite comments). In westerlies try lying alongside the extended section of the southern pier (SailingIssues). The meltemi sends gusts off the land from the east, making it uncomfortable; reported difficult in strong southerlies, and local boats can take many spots. Call VHF 12. MySea lists water, electricity, fuel station and gas bottles; contact numbers +30 22820 41986 / +30 69 367 027 88 (MySea). Fees: not found, verify locally. Pin is the OpenStreetMap harbour node.
