Anafi Route 6: Chora to Kasteli Hike

A waymarked 3.1 km path from the Chora down via Megas Potamos to the hilltop ruins of ancient Kasteli, whose statues now sit in the Chora's tiny museum and the Hermitage.
Practical
Coordinates: centre of OSM hiking relation 'Route 6' (from Chora to Kasteli, via Megas Potamos; 3.1 km, about 1 hour 45 minutes, 262 m ascent and 292 m descent, red-white waymark '6'). From a yacht, the Roukounas anchorage is the closest base: walk up from the beach to join the route. No shade or water on the route; carry both and start early. The Kasteli site has no facilities (see the Kasteli Archaeological Site entry).
