Ua Huka Fuel (Truck to the Vaipaee Quay)

8° 56.6′ S · 139° 34.3′ W · approximate

Ua Huka has no fuel dock. Fuel is delivered to the Vaipaee quay by truck if you arrange it in advance, or bought at the island's service station and carried back in jerry cans.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: the Vaipaee quay (same reference as the quay water tap). Noonsite: fuel 'available at the dock by truck (prior arrangements) or at the gas station'. Arrange delivery through the mairie or your pension. Noonsite: if space is available, boats may come alongside the quay, but not when the Aranui or Taporo is due; the Aranui ties lines across both cliffs and blocks the bay for the day. Moon Rebel (2018) found the dock rough and busy. The quay water is reported not potable. Supplies depend on the supply ship; for large quantities, refuel at Taiohae (Nuku Hiva). No prices or hours have been published; verify locally.
