Hakahau to Hakahetau Hike

A mostly shaded 4.5-5 hour trail over the island from Hakahau to Hakahetau. Sugar Shack (2019) combined it with Manfred's chocolate, the waterfall and Hakahetau village for an 11-mile day.
Practical
Coordinate approximate: start of the route at the west end of Hakahau. Start as early as possible. Sugar Shack downloaded the route from Wikiloc into Maps.me and found it mostly accurate. About an hour in, at a three-way fork, take the middle track (towards the right, passing above a house and below the upper road): not the one going up and not the one going down to the house. Arrange a taxi or a panga back, or have your boat move round to Hakahetau. Bring plenty of water.
