22° 38.6′ S · 152° 49.1′ W
Rimatara's west-coast village (278 people in 2022), behind a run of white-sand beaches, known for its old hotu (Barringtonia) tree.
Practical
Coordinate is OSM's Anapoto village node (en.wikipedia: 22°38'37"S 152°49'9"W). The mairie annexe, school and Temple Epeneetera are here, plus a craft stall mapped by OSM just south of the village. White-sand beaches line the coast from Anapoto north toward the airport (see 'Anapoto Beaches (Rimatara)'). Walk or cycle the island road from Amaru (about 3 km).
