Stiniva Cove (Vis)
43° 1.3′ N · 16° 10.3′ E
A pebble beach inside a ring of high cliffs, reached through a gap only a few metres wide. It is the most photographed spot on Vis and has been a protected natural monument since 1967.
Practical
Yachts cannot enter. Most boats anchor outside the entrance in 6-10 m and swim, paddle or dinghy in; take care with rocks and do not leave the boat unattended. A 2025 guide reports no anchoring off the entrance in high season and about 6 free buoys, first come first served; overnight only in settled weather and never in jugo. Crowded with tour boats from about 10 am to 4 pm in Jul-Aug. A small seasonal bar on the beach. Access by land is a steep path from Žužeca.
Best for
An early-morning swim before the tour boats
Season
Jun and Sep are best; very crowded Jul-Aug
