B-17 Bomber Wreck (Rukavac)

The wreck of a US B-17 Flying Fortress that came down off the south coast of Vis in World War II lies off Cape Polivalo near Rukavac. Vis had an Allied airstrip in 1944, and several aircraft wrecks lie around the island.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM seamark wreck point. This is a deep dive beyond normal recreational limits; dive only with a licensed Vis dive centre, which also handles permits. Do not anchor on the wreck site.
