Budikovac Lagoon (Budikovac)
43° 1.6′ N · 16° 14.4′ E
A shallow turquoise pool between Veli Budikovac, Mali Budikovac and the Sanak rock off the south-east tip of Vis. It is one of the prettiest swim spots in central Dalmatia, packed with day boats at midday and quiet at sunset.
Practical
Depths are only 1-4 m with rock patches, so come in good light and enter from the south; avoid the shallows near Sanak and Mali Budikovac. Deeper boats anchor on the edge of the lagoon and dinghy in. Buoys are free if you eat at the beach restaurant. Day boats crowd it from about 11 am to 5 pm; afternoon and evening are best. Sheltered from many directions but only for settled-weather nights.
Best for
Turquoise swimming and a calm-evening anchorage
Season
Jun-Sep, settled weather
