Slano Bay Anchorage
42° 46.8′ N · 17° 52.8′ E
The inlet at Slano, almost enclosed by land, with the village and an old Franciscan monastery at its head. A good free anchorage if the marina is full.
Practical
Coordinate is the bay (OSM 'Luka Slano'). Anchor near the head of the inlet in about 11 m on mud, clear of the marina and the fairway. Sheltered from the south; the southern corner (Banje) gives shelter in both bura and jugo, but holding is poor in places, so check your anchor. Small-craft quay in the village. Harbourmaster office in Slano (OSM).
Best for
A sheltered free night at the north end of the channel
