Mali Ston Bay Oyster Farms

Mali Ston Bay is a protected marine area where oysters and mussels have been farmed for centuries; the clean mix of sea and fresh water gives the local oyster its name. Rows of floats fill much of the bay.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate (central part of the bay off Hodilje). Farm lines and floats are everywhere: keep to the marked channel, go slowly and do not anchor among them. Several restaurants in Mali Ston and Hodilje run short boat trips to the farms with tastings.
