Stingray City (dive site)

The deeper original Stingray City, a sandy patch just inside the reef near Stingray Channel where divers and snorkellers meet the rays away from the sandbar crowds.

Practical

Position is DoE public mooring 'Stingray City West' (East mooring at 19.38452N, 081.34343W). Virgintino: west of the north side of Stingray Channel, 7-10 ft over mostly sand. Wildlife Interaction Zone rules apply (as for the Sandbar). DoE mooring rules: 3-hour limit, no overnighting. Stingray Channel itself is poorly marked; reach it from inside the sound, not through the reef, unless you have local knowledge.
