Belize's tourism capital has the best shopping on the cayes: a dozen supermarkets, bakeries, hardware stores, banks, a fuel dock that serves boats, clinics and two hyperbaric chambers, all within walking or golf-cart distance of the anchorage. Position is Super Buy Downtown on OpenStreetMap.

Supermarkets mapped on OpenStreetMap include Super Buy (Downtown, North and South), Island City Supermarket, Public's, Richie's and Save On Groceries Plus; bakeries include The Baker and Casa Pan Dulce. Caribeña Enterprises fuel station near the town centre is tagged for cars and boats. Noonsite (2018) called Captain Sharkies, next to the airport, the best-stocked chandlery its reporter had seen in the Caribbean - confirm it is still trading. Banks: Belize Bank, Atlantic Bank and Heritage Bank have branches in town. Water taxis run to Caye Caulker and Belize City (San Pedro Belize Express, Water Jets, Thunderbolt) and to Chetumal, Mexico. Medical: Dr. Otto Rodriguez San Pedro Polyclinic and the SSS hyperbaric chamber are mapped in town; Wikipedia notes the island has two decompression chambers. Golf carts are the usual island transport. The Moorings lists water, ice, fuel, Wi-Fi, ATM, supermarket, laundry, dive shop and chandlery here.
