Port Antonio Produce & Craft Market

18° 10.7′ N · 76° 27.1′ W

Port Antonio's open-air produce market with a craft market at the back: oranges, mangoes in season and everything else that grows on Portland's wet green hills. Cash only.

Practical

Position is the Musgrave Craft & Farmers Market on West Street (OpenStreetMap), a few minutes' walk from Errol Flynn Marina. Virgintino (2015): best on Friday and Saturday; the craft market is at the back and you exit back into the main street. 2015 Noonsite report: fruit and vegetables well stocked and good quality, cash only; best mini-supermarkets Kamal's and Ramtulla (a short way out of town) take Visa/Mastercard; ATMs in town (one bank's ATM reportedly debited without dispensing). Digicel SIM cards in town. Portland Art Gallery is at the old train station near the old marina. A 2023 cruiser found plenty of fruit and vegetables a short walk from the marina; Kamal's Supermarket is next door on West Street.
