Port Antonio International Marlin Tournament
18° 10.8′ N · 76° 27.2′ W
The 'Superstars of Port Antonio' International Marlin Tournament runs out of Errol Flynn Marina each autumn: three days of catch-and-release blue marlin fishing off Portland's deep north coast, with an opening ceremony on the marina waterfront.
Practical
Position is Errol Flynn Marina (OpenStreetMap), the tournament base. The Gleaner (October 2025): the eighth staging drew 18 boats; points-based billfish release format; 2025 winner Nuh Reely released five blue marlin; prizes US$7,000/4,000/2,000; tournament director Robert 'Bobby' Stewart; the 2026 edition was set for October 6-11. Earlier editions ran late September (2024: September 23-28; 2022 opening ceremony September 27). Expect the marina to be full during the event - book a berth early or anchor in West Harbour. Peak of hurricane season, so watch the weather.
