Playa Piskado (Playa Grandi) Turtles
12° 22.2′ N · 69° 9.2′ W
A tiny fishermen's beach at Westpunt where boats and nets line the sand and green turtles graze over the gentle sandy slope just offshore - one of the most reliable turtle snorkels in the Caribbean.
Practical
Known for the frequent presence of sea turtles; easy shore access over a gentle sandy slope; calm, clear water (Curaçao Tourist Board). Somewhat rocky entry; snack bar on weekends; manchineel trees give shade (do not shelter under them in rain). Do not touch, chase or feed the turtles. Occasional strong, unpredictable currents off Westpunt. Coordinate: OpenStreetMap. Yachts may not anchor in Westpunt Baai - it is not a designated anchorage (Curaçao Ports Authority via Noonsite, August 2025); visit by car from Spanish Water or Santa Cruz.
