Piscadera Baai Anchorage & Royal Marine Services

12° 7.6′ N · 68° 58.1′ W · approximate

A small, protected bay west of Willemstad with good mud holding and a casual do-it-yourself boatyard at its head.

Practical

Approved anchorage under the anchoring permit (Virgintino). Entrance unmarked but 16 ft deep and 70 ft wide; use the hotel dock and beach on the east shore as a landmark, enter mid-channel and follow the starboard shore in 12 ft until near Royal Marine; shelves to 8 ft; good holding in mud (Virgintino 2015). Royal Marine Services (Piscadera Bay z/n) has a travel-lift and concrete ways, modest rates and relaxed DIY rules; it is one of three bonded storage areas for uncrewed yachts (CPA). Coordinate approx: inner bay between the guide's entrance waypoint (12°07.31'N 68°58.30'W) and Royal Marine Services (OSM).
