Jonesville Bight Anchorage (Roatán)

16° 23.4′ N · 86° 22.2′ W · approximate

The stilt-house fishing village of Jonesville sits around a sheltered bight east of French Harbour — home of the dinghy-access Hole in the Wall restaurant and a short dinghy ride through mangrove canals to Oak Ridge.

Practical

Approximate: placed in the bight south of the OSM 'Jonesville' hamlet node (16.39158, -86.36747) and checked against OSM coastline; not a sounded position. The NW Caribbean wiki lists Jonesville among Roatán's anchorages and Bodden Bight, just west, as a small hurricane hole 'not much room but well protected'. Older cruiser notes: laundry service in Jonesville (Mon/Wed/Fri), propane available but dearer than French Harbour; Hole in the Wall all-you-can-eat lobster-and-steak buffet on Sundays (and Wednesdays per Wikivoyage) — verify locally. Enter only in good light.
