Falmouth Harbour (Bush Cay)

18° 30.0′ N · 77° 38.6′ W

A Georgian sugar-port town, called Jamaica's most architecturally pleasing; now also a cruise port. Glistening Waters' seafood restaurant sits on the inner harbour.

Practical

Position is Virgintino's waypoint north of the entrance buoy (18 30.00N, 077 38.62W). Anchor in the lee of Bush Cay. The two old inner-harbour marinas are in shoal water and unsuitable for most sailboats. Mosquitoes. Falmouth was 'all but destroyed' by Hurricane Melissa (Wikipedia), so expect reduced services.
