East Caicos wilderness

21° 42.0′ N · 71° 33.6′ W · approximate

The largest uninhabited island in the country (about 32 sq mi) — flamingos, piping plovers and whistling ducks in its wetlands, the second-largest dry cave system and a big inland blue hole, abandoned for a century after sisal and guano days.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: interpolated island centre between Middle and South Caicos. No facilities and no anchorage information in the sources; the bank along its south side is shoal-draft only (BoatTEST). Day visits are by small boat from South Caicos in good weather. Treat as an expedition destination.
