The Stann Creek District town on the mainland opposite Tobacco and South Water cayes, with markets, bakeries, the Southern Regional Hospital and boats out to the cayes from the river mouth.
Practical
The anchorage off Dangriga is an open roadstead, untenable in onshore winds over 15 knots (OCC notes, 1997); visit by caye water taxi or from Sittee River instead. OpenStreetMap maps the market, Family City and Grigalizean bakeries, Southern Regional Hospital and the riverside water-taxi dock. Dangriga is the transfer point for Glover's Reef resorts.
