Rock Sound Ocean Hole

24° 51.8′ N · 76° 9.3′ W

An almost perfectly round inland blue hole on the south edge of Rock Sound, linked to the sea by underground passages, where you climb down steps to swim with snapper, grouper and turtles.

Practical

Position from OpenStreetMap. A short walk from the town dock. Parking and overlook on the north side, then a trail and steps down to the water (ShowCaves). Tidal; depth figures vary from about 30 m (ShowCaves) to 'bottomless' local lore. Free, no set hours (2020). Fish gather by the ladder and are fed by visitors (Adiona Adventures). Swim only if confident: no lifeguard, steep walls.

Best for

A swim with tame fish in a blue hole
