Mudian Harbour Anchorage

22° 7.6′ N · 74° 19.0′ W

A secluded bay on Castle Island in front of a wide beach, with excellent protection from northerly winds: the place to sit out a front at the bottom of the Crooked-Acklins chain.

Practical

noforeignland position N 22°07.568' W 074°18.995' (OpenStreetMap maps Mudian Harbour as a bay on Castle Island at the same spot). Easy approach following the charts through the reefs heading due north; lots of room in 3-6 m on soft sand. Gets rolly once the wind goes back to the east. Reviewers report difficult dinghy landings and no obvious paths ashore. Cell data adequate (Aliv good enough for video calls).
