Beach· Eleuthera· Bahamas — Eleuthera, Andros & the Out Islands
Lighthouse Beach (Lighthouse Point)
24° 37.0′ N · 76° 8.7′ W
Miles of pink sand and dunes under limestone cliffs at the southern tip of Eleuthera, long the island's wildest beach, now beside Disney's Lookout Cay development.
Practical
Position from OpenStreetMap. Pink-sand beach on the Atlantic side of Eleuthera Point behind dunes (My Out Islands). Since 6 June 2024 Disney Cruise Line operates Lookout Cay on the point; Disney donated 190 acres as a public park including a beach and access road, Bahamians have non-commercial access, and land below the high-water mark is public under Bahamian law (Wikipedia). Expect cruise crowds on ship days; come by dinghy only from the Eleuthera Point anchorage in calm conditions.
Best for
A pink-sand walk at the south tip
