Kemps Bight Anchorage
25° 6.4′ N · 76° 9.1′ W
A secluded bay under high bluffs just south of Ten Bay, the better choice when the wind goes into the north.
Practical
Position from the ActiveCaptain 'Kemps Bight' marker. Approach from the south-west. About 12 ft in sand patches over marl (8 to 10 in of sand); a 73 lb Rocna on 150 ft of chain held in 20 kn north-east (2016). Protected from north-north-west through north to east; a good bolt-hole when Ten Bay is rough with a westerly component (2015). Snorkelling along the rocky outcrops.
Best for
North to north-east winds with room to swing
