Hurricane season (Far Out Islands)
24° 3.1′ N · 74° 31.7′ W · approximate
Conception, Rum Cay and San Salvador sit on the open Atlantic edge of the Bahamas with no hurricane holes - be well away between August and October.
Practical
NOAA: the Atlantic hurricane season runs June 1 to November 30, peaking around September 10 with most activity mid-August to mid-October. None of these islands offers an all-round protected anchorage; Riding Rock Marina is the only marina basin. Wikipedia lists heavy rebuilding after Hurricanes Lili (1996) and Floyd (1999), and the cargo ship El Faro sank about 50 miles east of San Salvador in Hurricane Joaquin (2015). Point is Cockburn Town.
