Fresh Creek barrier reef (South Marine Park)

The barrier reef either side of the Fresh Creek entrance break, protected in the South Marine Park, with elkhorn and brain coral and the wall dropping into the Tongue of the Ocean just outside.
Practical
No-take zone; the Andros Lighthouse Yacht Club reminds visitors that nothing may be taken from Andros sea-park waters. Dinghy out from the Fresh Creek or Long Cay anchorage only in light wind: the break carries swell, and the ebb out of Fresh Creek runs hard. Anchor the dinghy in sand, never on coral.
