25° 33.7′ N · 76° 41.4′ W · approximate
The five-mile run of coral heads and shifting sand off Eleuthera's north shore that wrecked the Eleutheran Adventurers in the 1640s and many ships since — today a reef with diveable shipwrecks and abundant marine life.
Practical
Coordinate moved about 0.4 nm north onto the reef line (the earlier point fell on the shore). Coordinate approx: set on the reef line off Preacher's Cave/Tay Bay midway along the Backbone between Ridley Head and Harbour Island. Dive with Valentines Dive Center (Harbour Island) or a Spanish Wells guide; individual wreck positions are not given in the sources opened.
