Position: AUTEC main base from Wikipedia. The weapons range covers about 500 square nautical miles of the Tongue of the Ocean (Wikipedia). The area notes for this region state the AUTEC range off Fresh Creek is off limits. AUTEC moorings and buoys appear around Andros (an AUTEC buoy marks the Middle Bight anchorage); do not tie to Navy buoys or approach Navy installations, and the abandoned AUTEC site at High Point (South Andros) is the only one cruisers report using.
