A quiet anchorage off the south-west side of Grand Cay, beneath the BTC tower. Local fishermen often stop by to sell conch and fish.
Practical
ActiveCaptain position: directly off the BTC tower about 100 yards from shore in 6.5 ft over sand; sandy patches in 6-9 ft with excellent holding. Good protection in north and east winds; no noticeable current (2018). Easy approach from the south and west; give Sandy Cay a wide berth coming from the east. Very limited services ashore; 5 bars of cell signal, no free Wi-Fi. Pre-Dorian report.
