25° 4.4′ N · 77° 18.8′ W · approximate

Nassau is the last big provisioning stop before the Exumas and Berry Islands, with full supermarkets on the East Bay marina strip, up Mackey Street and out west at Sandyport, plus bakeries and farmers markets.

Practical

Pin is Solomon's Fresh Market in Harbour Bay Plaza (ActiveCaptain), the store cruisers rate best for provisioning (liquor store and pharmacy in the same plaza; one 2024 review calls it expensive). Super Value: from the bridges go east to Mackey Street then south to the top of the hill, about 1 mile (ActiveCaptain); another Super Value is in the Sandyport plaza, a short walk from Sandyport beach via the Delaporte Bay anchorage (Waterway Guide). Nassau Yacht Haven has a Fresh Market nearby and runs a complimentary shuttle (ABM). Palm Cay residents use the Super Value near Yamacraw (ABM). Fresh produce and fish: Potter's Cay. Farmers markets (bahamas.com): BAIC Farmers Market on Gladstone Road Saturdays 8 am to 3 pm with Out Island produce, honey and jams; Doongalik market 9 am to 1 pm in season (late Aug/Sep to mid-May). Bakeries: Model Bakery (Dowdeswell St), Purity Bakery (Market St), Jumper Brothers (Mollie St or Shirley St). Jitney buses run along Bay Street (about $1.25 per ride reported in ActiveCaptain; verify locally). Map position is an approximate representative point for this entry (derived from the nearest settlement, dock or harbour named above), not a surveyed location.
