Anchorage· Man-O-War Cay· Bahamas — North
Man-O-War Cay Harbour
26° 35.6′ N · 77° 0.4′ W
The boatbuilding village of the Albury family wraps around two snug harbours behind Dickies Cay: a quiet, dry, golf-cart island (215 people in 2010) where the boatyards still turn out Abaco dinghies and fibreglass runabouts.
Practical
Coordinate is the main (north) harbour on OpenStreetMap. Marinas.com: both harbours share a common entrance from the south with 6-8 ft; a second entrance on the northwest side carries only 2-3 ft. Man-O-War Marina describes the South Entrance as a dredged, marked channel with 5 ft at MLW: head north into the main harbour and stay mid-channel. The north harbour has the moorings, anchoring room and all the facilities; the eastern harbour is quieter (separate entry). Moorings are rented by the marina and Edwin's Boat Yard: a January 2022 review paid $22/night cash at Edwin's and a May 2024 Waterway Guide review $30/night, so verify locally. No liquor is sold on the island (Wikipedia), though the Dock N' Dine has added beer and wine. Ferries run from Marsh Harbour. Dispose of trash by dinghy at the island dump (2022 review).
