Great Harbour Cay Golf Course and Resort Ruins
25° 45.3′ N · 77° 51.0′ W · approximate
The overgrown nine-hole Joe Lee course, the old clubhouse and the Tamboo Club are what remain of the 1960s resort where Cary Grant, Douglas Fairbanks and the Rat Pack played, before smuggling and decline shut it down by the early 1980s.
Practical
Position approximate (to within about a mile): the ruins lie on the hill and fairways between the marina and the east-side beach; no surveyed position was found. The deserted Sugar Beach Hotel is another remnant. Explore by golf cart from the marina; the island site recommends a cart drive north to the island's high point. Respect private property and fenced sites. Noforeignland lists the resort ruins as a sight.
