Great hammerhead season

Every winter great hammerheads gather off Bimini, and baited dives in about 20 ft of clear water put divers eye to eye with them, no cage. Bull sharks also visit in winter.
Practical
Position is the departure point (Big Game Club); the site, nicknamed 'Hammer Headquarters', is a 30-60 minute boat ride and its location is not published. Season November through April (Neal Watson's Bimini Scuba Center). Trips average 11:00 am to 5:00 pm, maximum 14 guests, certified divers only, full 5 mm wetsuit, hood and gloves required; $349 plus 10% VAT including tanks and weights (read October 2026).
