Grand Bahama Shipyard
26° 31.8′ N · 78° 45.4′ W
A big-ship repair yard with three floating dry docks on the east side of Freeport Harbour, where cruise liners and tankers come for refits. Impressive to motor past, but it does not haul yachts.
Practical
Position is Dry Dock 1 (OpenStreetMap; Dry Docks 2 and 3 lie just south). The shipyard (Fishing Hole Road, Freeport) does dry-docking, afloat repairs and has a 35,000 sq ft fabrication shop, about 93 nm east of Miami. For yacht haul-outs use Bradford Marine next door.
