Goulding Cay Reef
25° 1.3′ N · 77° 34.3′ W · approximate
A tiny lighted cay off New Providence's western tip ringed by large, healthy corals and plenty of fish: a favorite dive and snorkel site and a dinghy run from the West Bay anchorage.
Practical
Coordinate is the Goulding Cay lighthouse (Wikipedia list: Fl W 2s, 36 ft); the reef lies around the cay, so pick your spot by eye and anchor the dinghy on sand. A 2019 cruiser found it far better than Love Beach: large healthy corals and lots of sea life. Stuart Cove's snorkel trips use Goulding Cay as one of their shallow-reef sites (about 10-25 ft). Dive-boat moorings with floating pennants are in the area. Exposed to the ocean; go in calm weather. Map position is an approximate representative point for this entry (derived from the nearest settlement, dock or harbour named above), not a surveyed location.
