26° 37.8′ N · 77° 2.5′ W

Fowl Cays National Park protects 2,335 acres of reef, seagrass and sandy bottom between Scotland Cay and Man-O-War, with day moorings over shallow coral full of surgeonfish, grunts and parrotfish.

Practical

Wikipedia position for the park (OpenStreetMap boundary spans about 26.618-26.646 N, 77.023-77.056 W around Fowl Cay). Established 2009 and managed by the Bahamas National Trust; daytime snorkel moorings sit between the breaking reefs to the north and the islands (marinas.com — Fowl and Fish Hawk Cays) and the BNT says fees 'will be applied soon' — none charged yet. Use the moorings; no anchoring on coral. No warden on site. A staghorn coral nursery was set up in 2017. In March 2024 a barge and tug ran aground on the reef crest inside the park and were still there in May 2025 — give them a wide berth. Boat access only.
