Bailey Town Anchorage (harbour, north of the Big Game Club)

25° 43.7′ N · 79° 17.7′ W

A tight spot in Bimini harbour just north of the Big Game Club marina, off Bailey Town, with the shortest dinghy ride to Customs and the town's shops.

Practical

Position from ActiveCaptain ('Big Game'). Room for only a few boats; approach west of the channel and north of the marina. Tidal current reverses about every six hours and is strong; reviewers recommend two anchors (Bahamian moor) and still report dragging when wind and tide oppose, with debris on the bottom stopping anchors resetting (2021-2025). Holding is generally poor when crowded, and a large cargo barge works nearby (Noforeignland). Constant wakes in the daytime: a May 2025 report describes a dinghy flipped by a speeding boat. Land the dinghy along the shore, not at the marina. Within the no-wake zone.

Best for

Short stays close to Customs in settled weather
