Potter's Cay under the Paradise Island bridges is Nassau's outbound sea connection: the Bahamas Ferries terminal for the fast ferry to Spanish Wells and Harbour Island and freight boats to the Family Islands, plus the docks where the government mailboats load.

Bahamas Ferries (2026 site): high-speed M/V Bo Hengy III Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, check-in 6:45 am to 7:45 am, depart Nassau 8 am, Spanish Wells 10:10 am, Harbour Island 11:10 am; return departs Harbour Island 3:40 pm, Spanish Wells 4:20 pm, arrives Nassau 6:30 pm. Adult fares $257 round trip / $139 one way (VAT inclusive); dogs on deck from $18-34; two free checked bags up to 45 lb. Check-in opens one hour before departure and reservations are released 15 minutes before. A Monday sailing to George Town, Exuma is freight only, and vehicles ship to Abaco, Eleuthera, Exuma and Grand Bahama; book at bf.intelicargo.com or (242) 323-2166 ext 250. Mailboats carry passengers and cargo to the Out Islands from the Potter's Cay docks; no current published mailboat timetable was found, so ask at the dock. Useful for sending crew to Eleuthera or shipping parts and provisions.
