McMullen Cove (Aialik Bay)
59° 46.0′ N · 149° 46.2′ W
A cove on the western side of the lower bay that the NPS says is popular with sail and power boaters who anchor there, with a cobble spit at its southeast end giving some protection. Beach landing and a bear-proof food locker are available.
Practical
Coordinate is the OSM bay point (a USGS name position). The NPS lists a food locker at the cove, asks visitors not to burn the dead standing trees (ghost forest) that mark the land sinking in the 1964 earthquake, and warns that you should be able to launch in the morning if weather changes overnight. No depths or holding information was found (unconfirmed).
