St Nicholas Abbey

13° 16.7′ N · 59° 35.5′ W

A 1658 Jacobean great house, one of only three left in the Western Hemisphere, on a working sugar plantation that distils its own single-cask rum and runs a Victorian steam railway.

Practical

Position from Wikipedia. The tour includes the great house, gardens, a small museum, the factory and distillery, a circa-1930 film and a rum tasting; there is also a private rum experience and the heritage steam train (stnicholasabbey.com). Combine with Cherry Tree Hill next door. About 20 minutes by taxi from Port St Charles.
